  3. Hello Nomer.

How can i achieve these Soft Shadows using an HDRI as a Light Source and Background?

I keep getting this linear shadow.. it does not help in terms of realism.

(I am trying to render a nice Night Scene).

  4. @carlos... hdri usually have soft shadows. if there is a harsh shadow then its not from the HDRI lighting. it must be from wither omni, sun, ies, spot light or rectangular lights. if you want soft shadows from this light be sure the size of the light is bigger. e.g. sun diameter must be more 2.5 or 3 instead of the default 1. omni and spotlight are the same, the radius parameter must be increased if you want softer shadow, rectangular light, plane with bigger size shadow is much softer compare with the smaller size. ies light has soft shadow tick box, so you need to tick that if you wnat soft shadow.
